Meet Terry Ervin, our Executive Director at Oakmont of Carmichael.
Terry Ervin comes to Oakmont of Carmichael with over 15 years of experience in senior living. His passion for this work is evident in his voluntary involvement in the California Assisted Living Association (CALA), where he serves on a number of committees dedicated to enhancing senior living. In 2014, he received the CALA Advocate of the Year award, after working on several legislative initiatives for assisted living.
With a Senior Living Executive Program certificate from USC’s Department of Gerontology, Terry applies his extensive experience and academic credentials to deliver comprehensive, resident-centered care in a resort-style setting. When asked what drew him to this line of work, Terry says, “There is a clear and increasing need for high-quality senior living. I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to serve seniors; whether I am spending time with a resident, training a new team member or supporting a family, this work is fulfilling.”
With his accolades and experience, Terry could work for any senior living community. Terry resides in Carmichael and raised his son and daughter in this community. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife of 24 years and their two children. When he is not with his family or mountain biking, he can be found golfing or fly fishing.
