Chef Ryan Jones joins our luxury retirement community in Carmichael with many years of culinary experience under his belt. Ryan found his love of cooking early on and had his first job in a kitchen at the age of fifteen, where he served as a pantry man at an Italian restaurant here in Folsom. After his first job in the restaurant industry, he was hooked and continued his culinary pursuits by graduating with a degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management from American River College.
Chef Ryan brings a passion to the kitchen that delights the residents and his culinary team alike. When asked why he chose a career in culinary arts he said, “My passion to serve and bring joy to those I cook for led me into senior living. My love for cooking came at an early age, and was born out of my fascination with the excitement I received from making people happy with the food I created.”
In addition to his culinary training, Chef Ryan adds his own flare to each meal that he serves. He says, “Being that I’m Cajun, I add a little Cajun Southern touch that influences my preparation techniques as well as flavor profiles. I also have years of experience working with Thai cuisine, in addition to being trained in classic French culinary techniques. Combining these approaches, I combine the best of many varied cuisines to influence the meals I create.”
We invite you to come in for a meal at Oakmont of Carmichael and experience our exceptional dining program first hand.
